Causes & Organizations We Support
The American Lung Association of Maine-The Maine Trek
Fiddlers Green Farm's bicycle team rode, once again, for its 13th year this year, in the American Lung Association's Bicycle Trek Across Maine, a 182-mile, 3-day bicycle trip from Bethel to Owl's Head, Maine - "from the mountains to the sea". There were over 1700 riders in the event, which raised over a million dollars for the organization. Fiddler's team of 22 riders raised $10,935. It was a beautiful sunny ride through Maine countryside . There were over 300 wonderful volunteers, making sure we were all safe, warm, and fed well! Among the Maine programs funded by the American Lung Association of Maine are research programs and public education; a summer camp for severely asthmatic children; tobacco prevention and control; and air quality advocacy on a legislative level.
Certainly one of the most precious
natural resources is the air we breathe,
and we feel proud of our contribution.
